Der in der "Lieblingszeitung" zitierte Bericht aus der FT ist nicht neu. Von diesem "Geheimbesuch" in Mailand war schon vor Monaten die Rede. Angeblich ging es damals um die leer stehende Anlage in Arese.
Aber: Keine Sorge, der Patriarch des VW- Konzerns wird es nicht schaffen, Alfa zu schlucken! Fiat ist nicht so schwach, um auf Alfa verzichten zu müssen.
Das Ganze sieht für mich nach getreuten Gerüchten aus, um Alfa und damit Fiat zu schwächen; gerade in der Einführungsphase der Giulietta.
Ob die Zusammenarbeit mit Chrysler wirklich schlecht für Alfa und Lancia sein wird, hängt entscheidend vom Design und der klaren Abgrenzung künftiger Produkte zusammen. Der letzte nennenswerte Erfolg der Fiat - Gruppe in der oberen Mittel Klasse war der sog. Tipo 4 (Fiat Croma, Lancia Thema, Alfa 164 und Saab 9000). Viele Gleichteile, aber klar unterschiedliches Design und unterschiedliche Motoren boten die notwendige Eigenständigkeit. Vielleicht erinnert man sich ja daran und bietet wenigstens unterschiedliche Karosseien an. Einfach ein Lancia - Logo auf einen Chrysler zu kleben, kann keinen Erfolg bringen. Nicht mal für eine Übergangszeit. Lancia und Alfa müssen ihre Identität behalten, sonst sind sie wirklich entbehrlich.
